Homesickness. Traveling away from home. Leaving home. Finally growing up. Everything I think helps make college seem more exciting. I'm ready, I took the summer to clean out my room, get all unnecessary junk out of it. My mom asked me "Do you feel lighter after cleaning your room" I told her "Mom, I am ready to leave. I hope this year zooms by fast!" I've been ready to leave for a while now, I'm excited just thinking of the idea that I will soon be away from home, on my own; but it's also kinda scary. The idea that I will be on my own no mommy or daddy to come to my rescue when teachers are being mean or when I need help. My room is clean, not full of everything- My room is full of necessity.
Kennedy - what a perfect first topic! I love the background you have chosen as well. Can you please change the title of your blog to something that includes your name please? It helps me keep track of things much easier. I will help you with the photo - can you bring the camera to school? Just keep posting and snapping - we can always edit posts and add pictures later and still maintain the integrity of the daily photo. Have a great long weekend!
ReplyDeleteKennedy...just keep in mind that the faster you leave, the faster the real world comes...enjoy the last year of school and soak it all up.
ReplyDeleteI'll leave you with Mr. Carney's cheezy senior quote: "When I say out loud I wanna get outta this, I wonder, is there anything, I'm gonna miss?"
Yes...I quoted Third Eye Blind in my yearbook...but it was relevant :)
